Fall Fest- October 13, 2012. We are thinking about a Roy Rogers scarecrow to represent music, maybe incorporating “Happy Trails”.

Barn Tour/Country Living Art Contest- Winning artwork will be displayed as part of the Barn Tour on Barn Tour days and publicly at Sarah’s Enchanted Cottage September 29-October 6. Katie will finish the announcement and entry form to send to county schools.

New Business:
Amy and Katie talked about plans for a Final Friday Art Walk to be held Friday, August 31st. Arrangements are still being made but we are planning to have a few featured artists’ work displayed at The Alleyway Studio and Art Gallery (Cyphers Photography), artists demonstrating, and live music. Tentative hours are 6-8 pm. After we have more plans finalized, we will contact chamber businesses to see if they would be willing to feature artists or musicians. The group made a list of steps to take for planning this event.

Show and Tell: Kathleen showed 2 landscape paintings and Katie showed a mixed media mallard hen and ducklings.

Our program and meeting location will be announced. Check www.jacksoncountyarts.blogspot.com for information.
